SODOM UNVEILS NEW ALBUM ARTWORK FOR "IN WAR AND PIECES"

IN STORES JANUARY 11, 2011

SPV/Steamhammer has confirmed a January 11, 2011 North American street date for SODOM's new album, In War And Pieces. The album is due out in Europe on November 22nd in the following formats: regular CD, two-CD digipack, double vinyl, two-CD digipack with lanyard.

"In War And Pieces"was produced by Waldemar Sorychta, who has previously worked with Tiamat, Moonspell, Lacuna Coil and Sentenced, among many others. The cover artwork (see below) was created by Eliran Kantor, who has previously worked with Testament, Sigh, Anacrusis and GWAR.

In a recent interview with Mattowarrior's Metal Madness, SODOMbassist/vocalist Thomas "Angelripper" Such stated about the upcoming album, "We have a new producer, Waldemar Sorychta of GRIP INC. He's like a fourth bandmember. I told him I wanted SODOM to go back to our roots, and it's important to create an album with an old sound. I don't like productions where the bands sound like all the others. He ha many ideas on how to arrange the album, and vocal lines, etc."

Such previously stated about the group's new material, "There has never been a SODOM album which is so wide-ranged, as powerful and as typically SODOMas this one."
