these guys have gone severely downhill since Colony, which (in my opinion) was their last good album. |

this is from the press release i got yesterday afternoon:
Sweden's IN FLAMES have posted the following message on their official web site:
"Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the [new] album's done — when it comes to the music, that is. We still have to do the cover, booklet etc. Once again, we would like to say how pleased we are with the result and we can't wait until you get your hands on the finished product.
"This is the eighth IN FLAMES album and it's awesome to feel as excited as it was our first. The name of the album will NOT be Crawl Through Knives, instead it will be Come Clarity."

now they realize that everyone's trying to be 'old melodic in flames' and not nu-metal so NOW they are deciding to have more guitar harmonies. gaylords. |
|
listening to The Jesters Race now, and that's an "uptempo" album. the band changed directions when Glen Lungstrom left. The were originaly a "Melodic Deathmetal" band, now they're just nu-metal.
I'll check out samples & what I can find online, but I'm not getting my hopes up for another Masterpiece |
|
those song titles just sound like they would be nu metalcore. i hope the singer does not jump around like fred durst in any more videos. |

there live show was good years ago, it stopped being good around that time they toured with slayer |
|
of course that was before rtr, fuck that album
|

That band makes AIDS look straight |

Are you guys fucking insane? They're Great!.....their music is so annoyingly catchy, and they have talent......so what if they decided to use more vocal harmonies in place of guitar harmonies, and add a few keyboards.....remember...Black Sabbath did the same thing back in their day (which most of you don't know since you only listen to "We Sold our Souls for Rock-n-Roll", which has been their set list for fucking years). So did Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, Killswitch engage, Testament, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Opeth, Cradle of FIlth, Dimmu Borgir, Borknagar, and the list goes on. So don't bash a band for evolving musically. They couldn't be Nu-metal even if they tried (and trust me...they did)...in the end they can't help but to be In Flames.
BTW the Sountrack to Sell out pic is cute. I made a shirt out of it, and all of my friends want one now. |

N*Flames hasn't been any good since Colony...
I'll probably listen to this CD, but if it's not a throwback to The Jesters Race then forget it, I won't buy it |
|
They should have kept the name 'Crawl Through Knives' as opposed to 'Cum InsideMe'.
Not that it would have made it any less gay than this album is going to be. |
|
in flames puts on a horrible live performance. |
