Nice.
I think I woulda went with Creme p/u covers, to match the maple fingerboard, but that looks pretty good.

Is that the 'Fat strat'?

toggletoggle post by PatMeebles at Nov 9,2006 1:16am
American Deluxe 50th Anniversary HSS Strat. I don't think it's a Fat Strat.

Nice.

And the humbucker has a coil-tap as well that was converted from the S-1 Switch in the POTs.

I love Maple fretboards.
My old American Standard had one, and I absolutely loved it.

Hows the new bridge working out for ya?

toggletoggle post by PatMeebles at Nov 9,2006 1:28am
Awesome. I dive-bombed the hell out of it today and it mostly stayed in perfect tuning.

Cool man. Glad I could help.

Get a lock for the nut. That's my suggestion.

toggletoggle post by Niccolai   at Nov 9,2006 2:56am
In order to install a locking nut he would haveto modify the guitar, plus it wouldn't make his tuning more stable.

his nut should work fine, but if he were to a replace it, a rolling nut would be a much better choice.

i also love maple fretboards... thats it... my next bass is gonna have one.

A lock doesn't seem necessary, considering after I divebomb it for a full minute it can still make it through a whole song without tuning.

good choices all around. cant go wrong with wilkinson trems. how are those gfs pickups, ive been freaking dying to try them out.

toggletoggle post by PatMeebles at Nov 10,2006 11:42pm
The GFS pickups are pretty damn good. Definitely worth the money and then some. They make the original S1 pickups sound like shit (which they are). However, while they sound good, they aren't as "fender-ish" as I would've liked. Still though, these are definitely worth having.

the pickups that were in that strat were actually the SCN (samarium cobalt noiseless) pickups, s1 is actually the name of the switching system. you should try selling the old pickups on ebay for like 75 bucks, you could fetch that easily.
