New site? Maybe some day.

I will be traveling to Hong Kong and from there I needed to get my Visa for Cambodia and Vietnam, I got the Cambodia visa easily online...Vietnam seems to be somewhat different as it asks you to mail your passport in. The only
alternatives to that that I've found is getting a 'loose-leaf' visa
which only requires you to mail a copy of your passport instead.
Does anyone NOT recommend mailing my passport with only a month before I leave for Asia? Any feedback on getting the loose-leaf visa instead of the regular one? |

ive done a lot of travel in asia, if you have a month, and you are in the us? then you should probobly send it to the consulate within the us, and send it priority and certified mail that way you will be sure to get it in time. I just did this with an indian visa, I am leaving thurs |

yeah I'm in the u.s.
I'm probably going to go through this place to get my visa since they're apparently down the st from the embassy for vietnam in DC.

I guess I'm just nervous about mailing out my passport... |
|
just pay the extra for same day postage and they will process it in a few days, you should be all set
I mean, I had to send all my shit to the indian embassy in TX, only to find out it was supposed to be sent to NY, so they sent it there, and I got the passport back within 1 week. i wouldnt worry about it unless you are blacklisted or something |

I ave no clue where my passprt is |

yes I have spent a lot of time in Nepal and India, I am currently going for a year or more to live in Sikkim, which is between nepal and bhutan and tibet, and it is where many Tibetan Lamas went into exile when they were first invaded by china. I am working at a school whose chairman is a tibetan shaman. |

i would be careful about mailing a passport if your planning on leaving the country. if their is any alternative at all to it, then do that. The mail is not accident-proof. Even certified mail can be lost and has been lost in the past. With something as important as your passport, you gotta be careful. |

i use DHL overnight to send to Abriggs.com in DC (visa expeditors), 1 month is pushing it but should be ok, i've only had that same timeframe for my last 2 visas |
