prob around 20-25 i walk to work everyrday so thats an extra hour 5 days a week. plus softball on mondays. and i got a big driveway that my boys and i are always in. not much hiking, fishing, or swimming but alot of outside time
not enough. I used to be outside nearly 24/7 when I was a kid. I usually leave for work around 7:20ish, then get back from work around 7 each night. I like to spend more time outside on the weekends
not nearly as much as i want. i walk to and from the train stations so i put in at least 3 miles a day, but its not recreational. not having a car makes my woods walking practically non-existent, which is a travesty.

i work two jobs right now and i am going to school to get my masters. i dont spend to much time outside now--( skip school once in a while if the surf is ripping in hull) but my theory is that if i bust my ass these next few years..i will put myself in a position make where i can sustain excellent money while working minimal hours, thereby allowing me to spend a majority of my time surfing or hiking and staying as mellow as possible.

Weekends, I usually go wandering through the woods. It's what I have to look forward to all week.
unfortunately i live in southie now, so there aren't really any "forests" to speak of. I, like the rest of you, grew up exploring the woods.
I walk between 7 and 10 miles a day between walking to and from work, between all my clients offices.
Not much, but trying to make it more. I run my dog a half hour everyday in the woods, that's an awesome time. Helps clear my mind of negativity. I'll smoke some shisha on my porch (which is open air) but other than that, it's all indoors.
between working in a cold office all day, a dank bandroom, and living in a worcester 3-decker farm, i don't get out much.
but last week i still managed to really destroy mt. monadnock, and got my regular purgatory area visit in.
i'll finally be getting a bike this weekend and driving my car around the city a lot less. hopefully i can get my ass up early enough to regularly ride my bike to work.
so much better than sitting on a couch. if you go on a quiet day to Purgatory those trails behind it lead to some killer toking spots. Douglas State Park is the same, blazing in that swampy part is awesome.

the "sofa rock" down the stream at the pond. and douglas state park is killer. the swamp part with all the moss surfaces and windswept trees make me think elves and fairies are going to pop out of nowhere.
i was on the bus and it was a really foggy day..well when i looked into the woods i saw a huge hunched over shape..and it walked into the woods and vanished...maybe it was sasquatch..i meen i do live neer a BF hotspot.....the hockomok swamp...
i found an awesome smoking spot behind the Auburn Sportsman's Club, you go way deep behind the sandpits and there is this MASSIVE tree, easily 500 years old. i've never seen anything like it in this area. there is evidence of some kind of old town, its a completely overgrown forest now, but there are trails and stone walls and shit like that.

update - i got a badass bike and i've been riding around worcester faster than any car. so far my only destinations have been the dive bar and the armsby abbey.
i even got up this morning at 6:30 to get to work, but the ground was wet...so i passed right out again.
wait, haven't you been in college the entire 10 years that I've known you? are you going for a doctorate in quantum physics or something?

I spent the whole weekend outside. There's major fox problem going on where i live.. Not sure what's going on but they are everywhere barking and eating cats and shit. Abyone else notice this?
Haha, no. We'll upgrade to a house, thanks. Working on cleaning up our credit now and saving. Long way off, but we'll get there.
Have I known you for 10 years now? Fuck I'm old.
I've been in school for 4 years. It took me 3 to get my AA (had to do a couple semesters part-time and I did extra classes), working on my BA in Photography now.
I still have 2 more years to go because of the major switch when I transferred. FML.

I've seen a lot more dead on the roads...what's up with that?

The foxes have pups and are scrounging for food right now. I will have to shoot one if it keeps coming up to the house.
When I'm not working, I'm usually outside fishing, hunting or training dogs. Was off Block Island this weekend - boated 8 stripers, kept 6. Smallest we kept was 40", largest about 46" - def one of the best striper trips I've ever been on.

They are all corrupt. You talking about the fat chancellor that makes too much money? I blocked that lady out of my memory. The students there definitely suck. Lucy little ftw

no, but the skunk problem in Worcester is out of control.
Yeah, her. She just jacked up our fees again to "sustain" and now the library is getting it's 2nd renovation in a year. Meanwhile when it rains the whole CVPA is littered with buckets catching the rain coming in through the ceiling. We don't even have internet in most of the classrooms...ridiculous.
Pretty sad when BCC had better technology.

I have never caught stripers in NH that were big enough to keep.
actually tomorrow i'm schooling the Worcester consortium CIOs how we do IT at Worcester State...they're doing it wrong...apparently we're light years ahead of everyone else for some reason. wireless access absolutely everywhere is one thing, if a school doesn't have that by now they flat out suck. it's not like we have a bigger budget, much less than UmassD's...

Umassd has been corrupt for years. The highlight of my tenure there was having access to group 6 at night while on drugs and playing all the instruments..

UMASS has plenty of funding, they just spend it on stupid bullshit like a Portuguese Archive branch of the library.
Near the Rescafe, I remember going into the "Culture Center" or whatever they called it to play checkers with this dude and it almost caused an uproar because no white people step foot in that room

you mean billy bulger's nanny, or whoever's kids she babysat for that got her the chancellor's job?
