New site? Maybe some day.

Now that Primus' first headlining tour in four years is well underway, playing to rapturous fans across the country, the band is pleased to offer a handful of tracks from tour rehearsals at Primus HQ in San Rafael, CA, earlier this summer. Turns out the tapes came out great and Les, Ler and Jay thought it would be fun to share them with their fans. The band plans to head into the studio soon to record their first album since 1999.
Les Claypool said, "I haven't rehearsed a band this hard since Frog Brigade decided to perform Pink Floyd's epic Animals album. Having Jay back in the band has rejuvenated our excitement for Primus and being that he is one of my favorite drummers in the world, the music that is coming out of us is beyond anything we've ever done before. It's like 'sultry-acid-space-rock'."

Listened. Yup. Sounds like Primus. |

Heard they will be in Boston in October. Any truth in this nugget? |

I'm skeptical of any primus drummer that isn't tim alexander. |

I was too. I know nothing about this guy, except that Les loves him, he was Primus' ORIGINAL drummer, and that he's supposedly awesome. |

Orpheum Theatre, don't remember the date but tickets went on sale this morning. |
|
The only time I've seen Primus was at the Orpheum with Public Enemy, NWA and Anthrax. What a weird show. |
