I've got some cases of OC703 and Roxul 2" boards sitting around that I need to get rid of. I also have some 2'x4'x4" felt covered traps already put together and a bunch of felt and 2'x4' boards build more traps. Not looking for a ton of cash, just need to clear some space. $20/case of 6 for Roxul, $50/case of 6 for OC703, $15 each for the already made traps.
If you're using those 1" auralex squares, they're not taming much other than flutter echo. Strap some 4-6" OC703 in your corners and rear wall and you'll get a much truer response in a less than perfect room. Check out NRC charts online for a better idea of what "sound foam" and rigid fiberglass actually absorb.
Depending on what you want, I might drive to worcester.
I'm aware of the capabilities OC703. I've yet to try it. I have some dense 2'x'1 Auralex traps in my monitoring room... they work ok... I monitor at really low levels, so it effects me very little.... but I definitely have an issue at higher levels. Does BOTG have any shows coming up soon? Would want to make it as easy for you as possible.
No shows in your area until April and I need it gone before then. I'll make a trip to Worcester on Thursday if you'll take all of it off my hands for $150...2 cases of Roxul, 4 bass traps and 2 cases of OC703.
