If I could take a second to remind everyone gusting over this show...
Even before legal issues forced AN to change their name they were more than willing to throw hardcore out the window and write cash cow girlfriend hardcore songs. Wes got paid Ted Dibiase money to write lyrics for a top 40 pop punk boy band. The last good album they put out was almost 10 years ago. And when they were still floating around giving up ghosts most of us barely even noticed.
I remember a fat, girlfriend hardcore, ginger retard from Haverhill by the name of Ryan spending his mom's hard earned ebay dollars on a $200 AN hoodie after they changed their name to Give Up the Ghost because all their AN merch was going into the Disney Vault.
I remeber the AN hoodies being so popular that the chinese were making bootleg ones. The band should have just made a clothing company like Johnny cupcakes.
Ginger retard Ryan was also a big fan of Poison the Well and making poorly masked AIM troll accounts to bug me because his girlfriend's friend didn't like me.
It's ok, the highlight of my AIM interactions with him came when he tried to insult me for liking metal by telling me Rammstein sucked. I responded by calling AN the Slipknot of hardcore and surmising that judging by the bands he listened to his hardcore knowledge was about as in depth as his understanding of metal.

These were being printed by some kids in Jersey, if memory serves. One of the AN guys bought one and posted the return shipping address online calling for vigilante justice for the kids ripping everyone off. I found this amusing.

If this is the same thing I'm thinking of (Fall Out Boy?) this was a plagiarism lawsuit, not a hired-gun type thing.
There was a plagiarism lawsuit. I also heard from credible sources that there was other material he made legit bank getting paid to write for fall out boy.
Fuck it. Good for him. I hope he made a princely fortune. American Nightmare was great and the lyrics were killer. Dude was good at something and got paid for it. Can't help who likes your shit. Dudes with hurt feelings and wounded bums be cryin foul. F word J word N words.

Everybody knows AN had great lyrics. If homedude is making money off it then thats really no different from any other writing gig. I'm just saying, this band did quite a few things between the AN demo and the last days of Give up the Ghost that made a lot of their fanbase walk away. Just because they play a reunion show doesn't make me forget.

Only being in a band with AN fan girls is real. By that I mean booley and I.

Someone just showed up at the bar with an American nightmare hoodie. Grey hoodie with college hoodie font. I know nothing of this band but is that one of the aforementioned ripoff hoodies?
This Thursday is the Give Up the Ghost show at Wonderland Complex. Here is some important information about the show.
1. Will call will open at 4:00pm the day of the show and is located at the venue. The entrance for will call will be on the side of the venue and will be located on the second floor of the Wonderland Complex. We are recommending that attendees arrive early to pick up their tickets to avoid lines.

band single-handedly launched a thousand eBay-ready colored vinyl collections. Utterly forgettable music, words, etc.

A few notes on this show from a guy who turned down a free ticket:
1. A few months ago everyone in the world was cursing not having a ticket. Now it seems like every other FB post is someone trying to ditch theirs to the point where I guess willcall changes have already been blocked. LOL @ whoever made the supposed $5000 bid for tickets on Ebay.
2. I never planned on going to this show and even I didn't appreciate the uber exclusive secret ticket sales that went on sporadically after the show was supposedly "sold out." There were a couple of instances where a limited amount of tickets were available for sale online. Deathwish announced a "limited" number of tickets on sale at their open house 1 day only. I went with my girlfriend all the way to Beverly and was like the 50th person in line. When she asked one of dudes working there if she thought she had a chance to get tickets he shrugged and said "there's like tons of tickets." For all the people that retained fanatical devotion to this band after all the BS, this whole thing seemed like a pretty aggressive way to dick people around some more to create a false vibe of exclusivity.
3. I went to a HC kid cash dump and a Blood for Blood show broke out. Nice of fake BFB to show up a put a nice "you kids will pay money for anything" gloss on this show.
4. This show went from 2 mystery openers, to 3 mystery openers, to 4 mystery openers none of which were really a mystery.
5. "We are filming the show so no need to compete with us on Youtube when we've already got the layout done on the $39.99 limited edition dvd ready for numerous limited releases."
Fixed.

I don't know, maybe I'm a hopeless sap, but I've been a huge AN fan since Background Music came out and didn't get a chance to see AN while they were active, so I'm looking forward to this.
And call me either an idiot or oblivious, but I don't know much about what the people who booked this show did, nor do I really give a fuck. I'm going to see AN and BFB (whatever BFB incarnation that might be) and could really care less about the "false exclusivity" of this show. It won't affect my enjoyment of the show in the least.

...and if it affects anyone else's enjoyment of the show, then that's their problem, not mine.
The crowd for salvation was unimpressed. They were ok, but definitely fell flat with the crowd here. The crowd is waiting for the intense face kicking that they are going to get from the next bands.
I predict that the coa set will be the stuff of legends.

COA brought it. A bunch of songs were kind of like "wtf is this song" but still they were more of an offical start to the show. And what is up with 2 guitarists? Weird. There is one picture of colin that is out of focus, but will probably be the front page.
Apmd is more and more sold, but they were sort of a sleeper in between COA and GUTG. Hope con would have fit better, but then again non-bands don't play many shows.
