I've never actually played any of the Assassins Creed games. But since I was getting a game free and it came out yesterday I said what the hell I'll try it. I wanted to get Resident Evil 6 but I heard it sucks.
I only played the first one and it was wack...same shit over and over ..
That's the main difference between one and two, more shit to do.

iI have to wait til nov 30 PC release. iI understand the hate for this series but any game that mixes pseudohistory and metal gear solid is a win for me. iI was hoping they'd make the artificial intelligence smarter but apparently they didn't. That's a good deal Kev
I thought assassins creed 2 was excellent. The third one, brotherhood or whatever was nowhere near as good. I loved the epic platforming in 2. That being said, how is this AC3 when theres like 5 of em?

@ross: that confused me too. But he #'s relate back to the main character.
Ac I was the Muslim dude
AcII was Ezio and spanned 3 games, the original, brotherhood, and revelations.
Ac III is the start off of Conor
I'm really enjoying this game. I don't like that you can't make the guy duck and that the controls are a bit strange to get used to. But I'm sure if you've played the other games the controls are similar.

the controls do take some time. i guess he automatically ducks in tall grass in this game but i always thought it was strange that for a stealth game there is no duck.
Yeah he ducks in tall grass. I wish you could duck and crawl. A lot of it reminds me of a sega cd game were you are just holding down a button to get to a cut scene of action. Doesn't feel like you're really controlling the character.

yeah, the controls and the game itself really isn't difficult. the only hard part of assassin's creed is completing the objective challenge for each mission
I don't think Assassins Creed 3 is worth $60.I don't think its gonna have any replay value. But its fun and probably worth buying once the price drops.

yeah i hardly ever replay games. assassin's creed has the mission challenges and collect 1,000 flags for achievements which i don't really care about. i really tried to get 100% on everything in brotherhood on the first playthrough and i almost did, missions and monuments etc, the atmosphere and the rome setting were enough for me to commit. i play for the experience and once it's done it's done. i gotta say give the AC3 multiplayer a shot kev. if it's the same as revelations, it has a high learning curve but a lot of fun.
